Most common dental care tips to be followed


Whenever we talk about Dental care, only one thing swivels across our minds and that is Teeth brushing at-least 2 times in a day. But a proper dental care doesn't mean only tooth brushing. There are some more things that we need to do to achieve a decent and beautiful smile. Here are some common but very important tips that everyone should follow to maintain their dental health.




  1. Brushing: Of course most of the people brush their teeth regularly but still they need to keep some thing in mind while brushing like use only soft bristle tooth brush, always prefer a good quality brush, never brush your teeth too hard and last but not least clean the all faces of your teeth.

  1. Flossing: Always floss your teeth before brushing; this can clean the in-between area of your teeth where plaque collects. Use a dental floss to clean these small areas of teeth or an interdentally brush also can be used to clean the large gaps.

  1. Clean Tongue: It’s always better to clean the tongue each time you brush. It not just keeps you away from bacteria but also keep your breath fresh.

  1. Avoid Smoking and Alcohol: Most of the dental problems are caused by these bad habits. So avoid these things as much as possible if you want to keep your teeth healthy.

  1. Change your Brush regularly: Your brush should be changed in every 3 months because an old brush becomes hard and ineffective after few months. Your old brush may also contain lots of bacteria on it and these bacteria may get transferred back into your mouth.

  1. Use mouthwash: Use of mouthwash is also a very important thing for your dental care as it cleans the area of your teeth where brush can't reach.

  1. Visit your dentist regularly: Apart from all the above mentioned things a regular dental visit is also very important for your dental health. This will keep you updated with the condition of your teeth so that you can know their requirements.
